Mission on Mind

last night I sung myself to sleep. the lyrics of such song go like this.

I want to be a missionary now.
I don't want to wait until I'm grown.
I want to share the gospel while I'm young.
For I have a testimony of my own.
I want to tell my friends about the church
and the happiness it brings to me
I'll tell them how the gospel was restored,
Tell them how the Book of Mormon came to be.
Then I can be a missionary now.
I don't have to wait until I'm grown.
I'll live each day the best that I know how,
and they'll see I have a testimony of my own,
a testimony of my very own.

what a blessing it is that I am grown. I am now able to go serve the Lord and a lot younger than I anticipated. I love the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. I am looking forward to serving and loving those I teach where ever the Lord sees fit for me. I am greatly blessed to have such amazing friends that have been amazing examples to me. I miss my friends everyday, but never would I want them to be home before their mission is through.

To my loving friends Elder Pincock, Elder Riddle, Elder Rothwell, Elder King, Elder Church, and soon to be Sister Waters and Sister Curtis. May the Lord be with you 'til we meet again.

a fantastic lady

Kelsey, this is the name of my best friend. Yes, my very bestest friend. Our older siblings are best of pals and it was only a matter of time till we followed in their footsteps.
We rolled in paint and made total fools of ourselves, yet after I only really knew her name. Her senior year she decided to play lacrosse. Can I say that is my favorite decision of hers? Well it is. for that is where we became best friends.
Now we are separated by college. I think of her daily and miss her dearly, but I know that when I see her again. We will talk as though nothing has changed. Love and miss my kels.

Senior of high school? fantastic. I loved every second of it. I came out of my shell. One thing I regret most. not hanging out with my true best friends as often. (Kels and Spence)

College. It is even better than high school. like a thousand times better. My roommates are splendid people. Especially one. Emmeline. We became great friends right off the bat. Helps that some of the roommates are not as awesome as we are. My roommate has barbies... and is a senior. I scuuuured of her. Needless to say I yet to sleep in my bed since her arrival. I will have to buck up and do it eventually. but for tonight I will enjoy the couch. but really college is my favorite.

GOOOOOOOOO  AGGIES!

the moment that changed my life.

My two-year-old sister, Siri, awoke with a cry for my mother. I picked her up and soothed her sobs as I took her into our living room, explaining that Mother would soon be out of the shower. I laid her on the couch and turned to continue with my before-school routine. Hearing gasping sounds, I snapped back around. When I picked her up, her neck rolled around as though it had snapped. I ran my baby sister to my mother who jumped out of the shower and immediately started CPR. With a trembling voice, I called 911.

Siri ended up in Primary Children's Hospital, where I visited her daily. After her condition was regulated, Siri returned home. Instead of feeling relieved at her homecoming, I felt overwhelming concern. Sleep left me. Some nights, the fear of her dying clenched my chest causing rapid ineffective breathing. On my knees, I cried for comfort. Warmth flooded my soul with a feeling of peace that my angel would remain on Earth. Heavenly Father has a plan for us and will send comfort when we are in need. This message of hope is one that continues to help me get through trials of adversity.

my sister.

Brit is the nicest girl I have ever met. she was born on my second birthday. needless to say she is the best birthday present i could ever hoped for. she is my little sister and i love her. i love hearing all of her stories. and trying to help her? nah she doesnt need help. she is all grown up. haha well you boys. love her and treat her well cuz she only deserves the best.

Stress.

im a senior. which i can hardly believe. it seemed like only yesterday i entered the halls of the scary high school with a total of two friends. i have changed so much. some for the better. and some well is questionable. anyways, college. it is kind of a big deal. i have no idea where i am going and how i am going to pay for it. all i can say is that i am stressed. i look around and it seems like everyone i know has a plan. they know where they are going, what the want to be, and a plan of paying it off. me on the other hand. absolutely no where close to any of that. oh well. i just need to have faith in the Lord and listen to where he knows i should be. i am no officially done complaining. life is good. love it.
